Why is the fennec fox the space god?
Being a passionate fox lover, I am committed to making a positive impact, which is why I have decided to donate 1% of our profits to support fox charities and sanctuaries. This dedication to saving and protecting these magnificent creatures has deeply inspired me throughout the creation of our brand. To further showcase this connection, I have incorporated the logo design of our space god, featuring a fennec fox, into our hot box packaging. This integration not only aligns with my personal love for foxes but also serves as a visual representation of our commitment to their well-being. By combining our love for foxes with our unique packaging design, we aim to raise awareness and contribute to the important work being done by fox charities and sanctuaries.
Front cover of the hot box
I aimed to create a visually appealing design that resonates with a wide range of age groups, encompassing a groovy aesthetic. To achieve this, I drew inspiration from the iconic style of Scooby Doo, incorporating a font that blends elements of grooviness, mystery, and a love for indulgent munchies. While the exterior of the packaging reflects this groovy theme, I decided to delve deeper into a psychedelic concept on the interior. Here, a girl holding a rar3 cookie is depicted, being abducted by aliens amidst purple clouds. This imagery symbolizes the experience of being "high" and transported into a different world. The use of neon colors, including purple, green, yellow, and pink, has been traditionally associated with the cannabis culture. Purple represents the relaxing effects of Indica strains, yellow evokes feelings of happiness, green represents the herb itself, and pink draws attention while maintaining a unisex appeal. Although I wanted to avoid an overly feminine brand, I incorporated pink as it is commonly found in bakeries across the United States and can still resonate with my target audience, which is unisex in nature.
Why so much eyes?
There are a few reasons why I decided to use an eye in the logo and for the exterior and interior. One reason is emotional connection; I chose to incorporate eyes in my packaging because they have a remarkable ability to evoke emotions and establish a sense of connection. Eyes are often associated with human qualities such as trust, empathy, and relatability. By incorporating eyes in my packaging, I aimed to create an emotional bond with consumers, triggering feelings of familiarity, comfort, and trust. This emotional connection contributes to a positive brand image and enhances the perceived value of my product.
Second reason is Communication and Messaging; I chose to utilize eyes in my packaging design to leverage their communication and messaging potential. Eyes can play a significant role in connecting with consumers and conveying the desired brand image within this specific market.
Within the cannabis industry, where regulations and restrictions may limit the use of explicit language or imagery, eyes provide a visually compelling way to communicate essential product attributes and brand values. The non-verbal nature of eyes allows for subtlety and creativity in conveying messages while still adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Moreover, eyes can help establish a sense of trust, empathy, and relatability, qualities that are crucial in an industry that is rapidly evolving and seeking to overcome stigmas. By incorporating eyes in my cannabis packaging, I aim to create an emotional bond with consumers, making them feel comfortable, understood, and supported in their choices.
Additionally, eyes can serve as a means of guiding consumers towards the essence of my cannabis product. The gaze of the eyes can direct attention to specific features or benefits, highlighting the unique qualities of the product and encouraging consumers to explore further.
Overall, incorporating eyes in my cannabis packaging allows me to tap into the powerful communication and messaging potential of this visual element. It enables me to connect with consumers on an emotional level, build trust, and guide their attention, all while adhering to industry regulations and effectively conveying the essence of my cannabis brand.
Third reason is cultural symbolism and aesthetics: In the Mexican culture, eyes hold significant cultural and symbolic meanings, such as the concept of "ojo" or "evil eye." By incorporating eyes in my packaging design, I tap into the cultural symbolism of protection, wisdom, and spirituality. This resonates with individuals familiar with "ojo" and creates a sense of connection, trust, and authenticity. The inclusion of eyes in my packaging not only adds an aesthetic appeal but also conveys a deeper meaning and cultural understanding.
Why start with cookies?
I chose to specialize in cookies for my bakery because they hold a special place in the hearts and palates of people worldwide. Cookies have a universal appeal and are beloved treats that evoke feelings of comfort, nostalgia, and indulgence. By focusing solely on cookies, I can dedicate all my expertise and resources to perfecting these delightful treats, ensuring that each bite delivers a truly exceptional experience. Cookies offer endless possibilities for creativity, allowing me to experiment with various flavors, textures, and designs. Furthermore, cookies are versatile, fitting seamlessly into various occasions, from casual gatherings to special celebrations. By offering a wide range of cookie flavors and options, I can cater to different tastes and preferences, ensuring that every customer finds their perfect cookie. With a singular focus on cookies, I can excel in crafting the most delicious, high-quality treats, building a reputation as the go-to destination for cookie lovers in search of pure, unadulterated delight.
Let's get baked
In the interior of my packaging, I have incorporated the phrase "LET'S GET BAKED" to playfully highlight the connection between consuming baked goods and the experience of getting "baked" or high from edibles. This clever pun captures the essence of the product in a lighthearted and humorous way. It adds an element of fun and relatability for those familiar with cannabis edibles, creating a memorable and engaging experience for consumers. The phrase "LET'S GET BAKED" felt like the perfect choice to convey the unique nature of the product and evoke a sense of enjoyment and anticipation among those indulging in the edible treats.
Social media
To amplify the exposure of my hot box collection, I have included the Instagram account handle on the packaging. This allows consumers to easily discover and explore the visually appealing and enticing range of products through our dedicated Instagram page. Furthermore, we actively encourage customers to share their experiences by tagging us in their Instagram posts featuring their hot box. By doing so, they become part of our marketing efforts, spreading the word organically and increasing brand visibility among their own followers. This interactive approach not only fosters a sense of community but also generates buzz and excitement surrounding our hot box collection, ultimately reaching a broader audience and driving further engagement.
QR code
I have chosen to include a QR code on my packaging primarily to provide consumers with additional warnings and disclaimers related to the product. The QR code allows for a convenient and efficient way for customers to access detailed information that may not fit on the packaging itself. While the QR code serves as a valuable resource, I have also ensured that a comprehensive description is prominently displayed on the bottom of the box. This dual approach ensures that consumers have access to all necessary information and can make informed decisions regarding the product's usage and any potential risks or considerations.
Interior of the hot box
To provide a distinctive and captivating design aspect that sets us apart from other cookie boxes, we have chosen to showcase the fennec fox as the main centerpiece when the box is opened, creating a truly unique experience. We have incorporated elements that blend our space theme with a psychedelic aesthetic. The interior design features vibrant, neon colors that resonate with the energetic atmosphere of the rave scene. Behind the fennec fox, cannabis buds add a touch of the cannabis hippy vibe. Additionally, our space god illustration portrays six hands, with the top hands featuring the iconic "live long and prosper" salute from Star Trek, symbolizing a universal sense of goodwill and connection. This salute aligns with our space theme while adding a touch of geek culture. The middle hands show the fox holding a rar3 cookie in one hand and the other hand holding a bong. The bottom hands are depicted in a hand sign for meditation, representing spirituality and the harmonious exploration of consciousness—elements that intertwine with the experience of cannabis .
